Once again realized how important it is to read up more and not just to look at one side of the story or follow blindly. How important it is to not just view information provided by one source(e.g XX's blog), but to take it upon oneself to discover the truth. It is also important to view things with an open mind and heart.. and not to take things or words personally..not to jump to conclusion before hearing or seeing for oneself.. but to look from an objective perspective.. breaking down and analyzing all the information available..before making one's stand.
So many wonderful people stepping forward just to make life better for the less fortunate, even though they can choose to be apathetic about it and continue to enjoy a good life of their own. Risking and sacrificing so much.. when others choose to live in fear, they took the courage to step out.. even if they may be sacrificed in the world of politics. These people.. no matter which party they belong to .. be it from our ruling party (e.g Dr. Lilly Neo) or the alternative parties (e.g Mr. Chiam See Tong, Mr. Low Thia Khiang, Ms Sylvia Lim, Mr Chen Show Mao and many others) .. have earned my utmost respect. I wish them all the best.
