Thoughts on GE2011
1. Very glad that WP won aljunied GRC. Congratulations!! Was really inspired by Mr Chen Show Mao's speech during the rally," Singaporeans, do not be a cowardly lion!" Makes me realised that these brave people have already stepped out to make a change to create a better Singapore..Yet many still vote in fear.. makes me wonder why? Why are we living in fear? Inspires me to not be a coward any longer.
2. A bit sad that WP didn't win for M-K GRC
3. Super sad that Mr. Chiam See Tong lost and is out of parliament. A great man whom I will always remember. He has greatly inspired me, to not escape from what I dislike but to make it a better place where I will love. Was really moved to tears when I look at this man, who suffered 2x from stroke and now at such an old age, continues to fight for the rightsand betterment of Singapore and Singaporean. Will always remember what he said this GE," I am actually not a brave man, but I love Singapore, I love Singaporeans." I respect and salute him for his 27 years of service to PP residents and fellow Singaporeans. He has silently served the people wholeheartedly without any complains even though he was just given a make-shift cubicle for his Meet The People sessions for the past 27 years. He is truly a man who serves the nation with his heart! Respect and love this man! Wish him good health and happiness always!
